The dog ate my homework & my liner!

A home owner contacted Vinyl masters Inc. with a unique problem having a large portion of the border area of his pool liner eaten over the winter by his dog. The liner was just 2 years old and the home owner was looking for an alternative to replacing the damaged liner with a new one. The home owner was also concerned about being able to replace the patterned border so it looked as if the damage had never occurred.

The liner material was unique and by contacting the original manufacturer some of the original patterned border was provided.

Of all the repairs we have had occasion to perform this would be our first dog attack. The culprit is part wolf and although dangerous to pool liners is a loveable family pet.

Taking less then half a day Vinyl Masters Inc. was able to perform the repair as good as new. Now the homeowner has many years left to enjoy the liner.

ne Liner or Two months?

Vinyl Masters Inc. received a call for help from a pool company in the Ottawa area that had problems with a custom built vinyl pool liner for one of their homeowners.

The homeowners pool opening had been delayed for over a month as two pool liners had been sent by the manufacturer but neither one fit the pool. One liner was a fit for the deep end of the pool the other was a fit for the shallow end. The unique feature of the pool and vinyl pool liner was the “Non-Slip Vinyl” used for the “Wedding Cake” style steps.

Not wanting to delay the project for the homeowner any longer then necessary the pool company contacted Vinyl Masters Inc. with a project to weld the two halves into one proper fitting vinyl pool liner.

The project was completed in less then one day leaving a happy homeowner and pool company.

100 feet & a new lease on life

In the summer of 2008 Vinyl Masters Inc. received a request from a customer in the Windsor area to inspect their liner that was aging and severely damaged. There was a large cut to the liner and the entire length of the lock in bead/ border pattern area was becoming brittle from many years of service and exposure to the elements.

On a strict budget the customer asked for an alternative to the purchase of a new liner. The inspection showed the majority of the liner was in good condition and had many more years of life left in the vinyl. Vinyl Masters Inc. suggested a project that would replace the failing portion of the pool liner and refresh its appearance.

Using methods of vinyl welding developed by Vinyl Masters Inc. the entire 100 foot border of the liner was replaced. The new vinyl made the pool look like new with a contemporary pattern along the border and better as strong as new. The added advantage is the quality of the work and materials is protected by Vinyl Master Inc.
